Why Choose a Treatment Program at Studio Vrij?

  • Limited Investment: The financial and time investment required for a treatment program is relatively limited. Most clients experience the progress they are looking for after approximately three 90-minute sessions. The total cost of a treatment program typically ranges between €517.50 and €690.00.
Compared to a conventional mental healthcare (GGZ) treatment program, the cost of three sessions may be slightly higher, as treatment by a licensed psychologist is generally covered by basic health insurance after payment of the deductible. However, in terms of time investment, a hypnotherapy program is often considerably more effective and efficient.
In addition, it is common for a general practitioner (GP) to first refer clients for several sessions with a mental health practice nurse (POH-GGZ) before referring them to a psychologist. Waiting lists within these services are also often quite long.
  • Partially Reimbursed by Supplementary Health Insurance: Psychotherapy and hypnotherapy are considered complementary healthcare services and may be covered under supplementary health insurance plans. For each treatment session, clients often receive a substantial reimbursement, depending on their insurance policy.
  • No Referral Required: A referral from your GP is not required to register for treatment. General practitioners and mental health practice nurses (POH-GGZ) regularly refer clients to my practice; however, you are welcome to contact Studio Vrij directly without a referral letter.

Reschedule or cancel an appointment

If you're unable to attend, you can reschedule or cancel your appointment up to 24 hours in advance. After that, you'll be charged half the €45 fee for the agreed-upon consultation, and you'll receive an invoice.

Health insurance reimbursement

I'm a member of the professional associations NBVH and RBCZ, which allows clients to receive reimbursement from their supplementary insurance. Reimbursement varies by insurer; click here for an overview. You can find me under the name "Studio Vrij."

After each consultation, you'll receive an invoice, which you can pay by bank transfer within 14 days. You can then submit the invoice to your health insurer yourself.

Compensation by the employer

Frequently experiencing stress can negatively impact your work. A treatment program can be beneficial for employers. It helps prevent stress and burnout. For this reason, many employers are willing to invest in this program for their employees. An employer can also reimburse employees if a company doctor recommends a treatment program. When complaints arise from the work situation, the employer is legally responsible for providing the best possible support. Therefore, employers often partially or fully cover the cost of a treatment program.

Ultimately, your complaint will be handled by the Complementary and Alternative Healthcare Disputes Committee of the SCAG.
